Logistics Administration – An overview
Introduction
Logistics Administration component manages the common master activities that is applicable for a warehouse and transport operations. These activities describe the whole process of setting up the system.
Users can define Geography masters to map all the Countries, States, Cities and Postal code required for their operations. Additional details like Zones, Subzones and Region can also be mapped to Postal codes, Cities and States. Quick codes required to categorize each master and transaction can be created in sequence here. You can define Locations to capture the internal/external services that is carried out in logistics industry and Divisions, combination of location for reporting and administrative purposes.
You can define Vendors, Customers, Consignor, Consignee and also create Ship points for delivery.
Items that is specific to a location and customer with its attributes is created here. THU (Transport Handling Equipment) along with its properties and vendor information if any can be defined.
Vehicle and Equipment master that is available for a location along with its attributes is defined. Vehicle and Equipment’s can be grouped together for reporting purposes.
Employees working in a location with their basic details and Skills for an employee can be created.
Leg and Route information required for a booking request can be defined. Schedule and Recurring Trip Plan details for a location can be created here for planning operations.
