Component overview

Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

The “Equipment” page appears.

  - Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.

To create a new equipment

Equipment ID            

The unique code or identification number of the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory.

Equipment Description

The name of the equipment associated with the equipment ID. (Alphanumeric, 255).

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the equipment. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Reason Code

The code identifying the reason for which the status has to be changed. (Alphanumeric, 40). This field is mandatory if the status is “Inactive”.

Reason Description

On enter of reason code, the system displays the description of the reason.

Equipment Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the equipment belongs. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.`

Equipment Model

Use the drop-down list box to select the model of equipment. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page.

Equipment Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of equipment. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Note: You can also create an Equipment ID if the status of the equipment is “Inactive” specifying the Reason Code.

Tab – General

Asset ID

The code identifying the asset to be mapped to the equipment (Alphanumeric, 16). Mandatory

Asset Tag

The code identifying the asset tag associated to the asset ID. (Alphanumeric, 16). Mandatory

Use of Hazardous Goods

Select the checkbox to specify whether the hazardous goods can be carried in the equipment.

Owner Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the owner type of the equipment. The combo is loaded with the values “from Quick codes. Viz. Own, contracted etc. (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory

Ref. Doc. Number

The reference document number of the equipment (User Defined). (Alphanumeric, 40).

Rolling Stock

Select the checkbox to specify whether the equipment is a rolling stock.

Agency ID

The code identifying the agency which contracted/rented the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 16).  This field is mandatory if the Owner type is “Contracted”, Hired, and Leased apart from Owned.

Agency Name

On enter of Agency ID, the system displays the name of the agency. (Alphanumeric, 40).

Agency Contract Number

The contract number of the agency. (Alphanumeric, 16). This field is mandatory if the Agency ID is provided.

Ownership Effective From

The date from which the ownership is effective.

Note: Agency ID, Agency Name and Agency Contract Number fields are visible for all Owner types apart from “Own”.

No. of Axles

Number of axles in the equipment.

Mfg. Name

The name of the manufacturer who manufactured the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 32).

Built Date

The date on which the equipment is manufactured. (Date Format).

Equipment Make

Use the drop-down list box to select the make of the equipment.

Purchase Date

The date on which the equipment is purchased. (Date Format).

Inducted Date

The date on which the equipment is installed or received. (Date Format).

Employee ID

The unique code identifying the employee ID which is associated to the equipment.

Raise Internal Draft Bill

Select the checkbox to raise the internal draft bill for the equipment.

Chassis Number

The unique number identifying the chassis number of the equipment.

Commodity

Use the drop-down list box to select the commodity ID that is usually carried in the equipment.

Class of Stores

Use the drop-down list box to select the class of stores of the equipment. The combo is loaded with the values from Quick codes.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of speed. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page.

Coupled

The number of equipment coupled.

Coupled and Loaded

The number of equipment coupled and loaded.

Tab – Geo Info

Geo Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the geo type. The combo is loaded with the values “Division” and “Location”. The system displays “Location” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

 Geo ID

The code identifying the division or location. Mandatory

Description

The description of division or location. On enter of Division/ Location the system displays the description.

Attached?

Select the checkbox to attach the equipment with a location which is a base location.

Note: You cannot attach the equipment to a division. You can attach only one location to equipment for the given period. You can attach another location once the "valid to" of the previous attached location is expired.

Valid From

The date from which the equipment attached to the base location is valid. (Date format).

Valid To

The date till which the equipment attached to the base location is valid. (Date Format).

Note: Ensure that the entered value must be after valid from date.

Home Geo Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the home geo type. The combo is loaded with the values “Division”, “Location” and “Ship Point”

Home Geo ID

The code identifying the home geo ID which is associated to the home geo type. Use help icon or manual entry.

Current Geo Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the current geo type. The combo is loaded with the values “Division”, “Location” and “Ship Point”

Current Geo ID

The code identifying the current geo ID which is associated to the current geo type. Use help icon or manual entry.

In – Transit

Select the checkbox to specify that the equipment is in transit state.

The system retrieves and displays the route ID, between and information.

Tab – Dimension Info

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of overall dimensions. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters mapped to the entity Overall Dimensions” The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Length

The overall length of the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 28). Mandatory.

Width

The overall width of the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 28). Mandatory.

Height

The overall height of the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 28). Mandatory.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of internal dimensions. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters mapped to the entity Internal Dimensions. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Length

The internal length of the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 28). Mandatory.

Width

The width length of the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 28). Mandatory.

Height

The height length of the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 28). Mandatory.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of weight. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters mapped to the entity Weight. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Tare Weight

The tare weight of the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 28). Mandatory.

Gross Vehicle Mass

The gross vehicle mass of the equipment.

Gross Combination Mass

The gross combination mass of the equipment.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of volume. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters mapped to the entity Volume. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Overall Volume

The overall volume of the equipment is keyed or auto calculated. (Alphanumeric, 28). Mandatory.

Internal Volume

The internal volume of the equipment is keyed or auto calculated. (Alphanumeric, 28). Mandatory.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of load carrying dimensions. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters”. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page.

Min. Length

The minimum length of the load carrying dimensions of the equipment.

Max. Length

The maximum length of the load carrying dimensions of the equipment.

Min. Width

The minimum width of the load carrying dimensions of the equipment.

Max. Width

The maximum width of the load carrying dimensions of the equipment.

Min. Height

The minimum height of the load carrying dimensions of the equipment.

Max. Height

The maximum height of the load carrying dimensions of the equipment.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of the load carrying weight. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters”. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Min. Weight

The minimum weight of the load carried in the equipment.

Max. Weight

The maximum weight of the load carried in the equipment.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of temperature. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters mapped to the entity Temperature. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page.

Refrigerated

Select the checkbox to refrigerate the equipment at certain temperature.

Maximum

The maximum temperature to be set. (Numeric, 28). This field is mandatory if the Refrigerated is checked.

Minimum

The minimum temperature to be set. (Numeric, 28). This field is mandatory if the Refrigerated is checked.

Load Lift

The load lift capacity that is how much can be loaded in the equipment. (Numeric, 28).

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of load lift capacity. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters mapped to the entity Load Lift. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. This field is mandatory if the load lift is entered.

Height Lift

The height lifts capacity of the equipment. (Numeric, 28).

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of height lift capacity. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters mapped to the entity Height Lift. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. This field is mandatory if the height lift is entered.

TEU Count

The required count of twenty-foot equivalent unit. (Numeric, 10).

FEU Count

The required count of forty-foot equivalent unit. (Numeric, 10).

Tab – Maintenance Info

Maintenance location

The location where the equipment is maintained.

From

The date from which the equipment is maintained. (Date Format).

To

The date till which the equipment is maintained. (Date Format).

Description

The description of the equipment maintenance.

Tab – THU Capacity Mapping

This tab consists of the following tabs:

v  Commodity

Pallet Space

The number of pallet spaces that the equipment can carry.

THU

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the transport handling unit that can be carried by the equipment. The combo is loaded with the THU IDs and descriptions. (Alphanumeric, 40).

THU Description

On selection of THU, the system displays the description of transport handling unit. (Alphanumeric, 255).

Quantity

The maximum quantity of the transport handling unit. (Alphanumeric, 255). This field is mandatory if the THU is entered.

Commodity

Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the commodity that can be carried in the equipment. The combo is loaded with the Commodity IDs and descriptions. (Alphanumeric, 40).

Commodity Description

On selection of Commodity, the system displays the description of commodity. (Alphanumeric, 255).

Quantity

The maximum quantity of the commodity. (Alphanumeric, 255). This field is mandatory if the commodity is entered.

UOM

The unit of measurement for the quantity” This field is mandatory if the quantity is entered.

Tab – Movement History

Arrived Date From

The arrival date from which the equipment is being searched.

Arrived Date To

The arrival date till which the equipment is being searched.

Departed Date From

The departure date from which the equipment is being searched.

Departed Date To

The departure date from which the equipment is being searched.

From GPS, the system retrieves and displays the following in the multiline:

Latitude

The latitude of the location of the equipment.

Longitude

The longitude of the location of the equipment.

Geo Type

The geo type associated to the location.

Geo ID

The code identifying the geo ID specifying the location of the equipment.

Geo Desc

The description of the geo ID.

Trip Plan ID

The ID associated with the trip plan that carried the given equipment.

Arrived

The date on which the equipment arrived at the given location.

Departed

The date in which the equipment departed the given location.

Tab – Registration Details

Doc. Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the document type. The combo is loaded with “Goods Receipt”, “Inbound”, “Pack List”, “Pick List”, “POD Dispatch” and “Unloading”.

Doc. No.

The document number which is associated to the document type.

Registration No.

The registration number of the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Address

The address where the equipment is registered. (Alphanumeric, 255).

Title Holder Name

The name of the person on whom the equipment is registered.                 (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Issuing Authority

Use the drop-down list box to select the company who issued the registration. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity. Mandatory.

Issuing Location

The location where the equipment was issued.           

Issued Date

The date on which the equipment was registered. (Date Format). Mandatory.

Expiration Date

The date on which the equipment registration expire’s. (Date Format). Mandatory.

Remarks

Any remarks regarding the registration of the equipment.

Attachment

Attach any document (If required).

Tab – Customer Lease

Customer Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the customer code. The combo is loaded from Customer Master.

Customer Name

The name of the customer which is associated to the customer ID.

Lease From

The date from which the customer lease is valid for the equipment.

Lease To

The date till which the customer lease is valid for the equipment.

Remarks

Any remarks regarding the customer lease of the equipment.

Tab – Rail Info

Note: This tab is visible only if the rolling stock is selected.

Length over Buffer

The buffer to buffer length of the  equipment.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of length. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in UOM Masters. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Track Gauge

The applicable track gauge for the equipment.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of track gauge. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in UOM Masters. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Normal Loading Gauge

Use the drop-down list box to select the normal loading gauge applicable for the equipment. The combo is loaded with the values from Quick Codes activity.

Max Design Speed

The maximum speed designed for the equipment.

UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of speed. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters mapped to the entity max design speed” The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Platform

The platform number associated with the equipment

Wagon Position

The wagon position associated with the equipment.

The system saves the equipment ID successfully and the status is updated as “Active”.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created along with the date and time at which the equipment details was created.

Modified By

The login ID of the user who modified along with the date and time at which the equipment details was last modified.

To modify existing equipment details

The following details are displayed in the multiline:

Equipment ID

The unique code that identifies the equipment. (Alphanumeric, 10).

Description

The description of the equipment.

The system displays the corresponding equipment details in the right-hand side header and tabs. You can modify the required fields.
