Skill Code

Select the “Skill Code” activity under the “Logistics Administration” business component.
The “Skill Code” page appears.
- Clicking this icon available near-certain fields
takes you to the help page of the respective field.
To modify an existing skill details
In this section, you can search the skills to modify, by providing skill details. Enter the following details in the “Search” group box:
Skill Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of skill to search and modify the details. The combo loaded with user-defined values from “Quick Codes” activity. (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Skill |
Enter the skill name of the selected skill type. (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Click the “Search” button to retrieve the skill details in the multiline.
Modify the required fields in the multiline and click the “Save” button to update the modified skill details.
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Skill Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the skill type for which the skill has to be defined. The combo is loaded with user-defined values from “Quick Codes” activity. Mandatory. |
Skill |
The unique code identifying the skill. Mandatory |
Description |
The description of the skill (Alphanumeric, 150).Mandatory |
Rate |
The rate of the specified skill. |
Currency |
Use the drop-down list to specify the base currency. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in the “Organization Setup” component. (Alphanumeric, 20). This field is mandatory if the rate is entered. |
Per |
The number of quantities required for the specified skill. This field is mandatory if the rate and currency are entered. |
Unit |
The unit of measurement for the number of quantity. This field is mandatory if the rate and currency are entered. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the skill. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory. |
Click the “Save” button to create new skill details.
The system saves the skill code successfully and the status is updated as “Active”. On save, the system retrieves and displays the day.
The system displays the following:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the skill details. The date and time at which the skill details was created. |
Modified By |
The login ID of the user who modified the skill details. The date and time at which the skill details was last modified. |
