Route Details
Select the “Route Details” activity under the “Logistics Administration” business component.
The “Route Details” page appears.
- Clicking this icon available near-certain
fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.
To modify an existing route
Select an option from the drop-down list box and enter the keyword for a specific search.
Click the “Get” button to retrieve the route details in the multiline.
The following details are displayed in the multiline:
Route ID |
This field lists the available unique route ID. |
Route Desc. |
This field shows the short description of the route iD. |
Click on any “Route ID” Data Hyperlink to display the respective route details in the right-hand side of the page.
To manage route details
Click “+Route” button in the right-hand side corner of the page to refresh and clear the existing data in the fields.
Enter the following header details in the right-hand side of the page:
Route ID |
A unique code identifying the route (Alphanumeric, 18). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of alphabets and numbers. |
Route Description |
The description of the route. (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. |
Reason Code |
The code identifying the reason for which the
status has to be changed.
Click the “ |
Reason Description |
On enter of reason code; the system displays the description of the reason. |
Transport Mode |
Use the drop-down list box to select the mode of transport. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity, (Example: Air, Rail Road, and Sea). |
Service Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of service. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity (Example: Door to Door, Hub to Hub, Door to Hub, Hub to Door, Express Service, etc.). |
Sub-Service Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of sub-service. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity (Example: Inter-State, Regional, State, and National). |
Route Valid From |
The date from which the route is valid. (Date Format). Mandatory. |
Route Valid To |
The date until which the route is valid. (Date Format). Mandatory. Note: The system throws an error message if the "Route Valid To" is less than "Route Valid From" and “Current Date”. |

Sequence Num. |
The unique sequence number of the route. (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory. Note: The system throws an error message if the sequence number is duplicated. |
Behaviour |
Use the drop-down list box to select the behavior of shipment. The combo is loaded with the values “Pickup”, “Delivery”, “Pre-Load”, “Back to Hub”, “Vendor Transfer In”, “CHA”, “Pre-Delivery VAS”, and “Post-Delivery VAS" etc. The system displays “Pickup” by default on the launch of the page. |
Leg ID |
The unique code identifying the leg. (Alphanumeric, 18). Mandatory. Note: The system throws an error message if the leg ID is duplicated or leg ID status is inactive. |
On selection of Leg ID, the system displays the following detail:

The description of the leg. |
From |
The geo location from which the leg is defined. |
Status |
The status of the leg. |

The geo location until which the leg is defined. |
Geo Type |
The type of geo location. |
Transport Mode |
The mode of transport. |
Revenue Distribution (%) |
The percentage of revenue distribution of the route in the given leg. |
Back Haul Applicable |
Select the checkbox if the back haul is applicable for leg. |
Transit Time |
The system displays the transit time of carrying items from one geo-location to another. |
Transit Time UOM |
The unit of measurement of transit time. |
Via Points |
The VIA points to be defined in the leg. |
Job |
The job code assigned for the leg. |
The system displays the following in the “Route Info” group box:
Origin |
The origin location of the shipment. |
Destination |
The destination location of the shipment. |
Cost |
The total cost estimated for a particular leg for the selected transport mode. The unit of measurement of cost. |
Distance |
The distance covered from and to geolocation. The unit of measurement of distance. |
Transit Time |
The transit time of carrying items from one geo-location to another. The unit of measurement of transit time. |
Job Duration |
The duration of the job |
Total Est. Transit Time |
The total transit time estimated for the route. |
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Exclude |
Use the drop-down list box to select the route group for exclusion. The combo is loaded with the values “Equipment Group” and “Vehicle Group”. The system displays “Blank” by default on the launch of the page. (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Exclusion Group |
The equipment/vehicle group code that has to be excluded (Alphanumeric, 18). |
From Date |
The date from which the route is excluded. (Date Format) |
From Time |
The time from which the route is excluded. (Time Format) |
To Date |
The date until which the route is excluded. (Date Format) |
To Time |
The time until which the route is excluded. (Time Format) |
Remarks |
Any remarks about the route exclusion. (Alphanumeric, 255). |
In this section, you can provide vendor preference for the route by providing minimum/maximum distribution value, validity details and vendor details. Enter the following details in the multiline:
Preferred Route/Leg |
Use the drop-down list to select the preferred route or leg for the vendor. The combo loaded with the predefined codes. |
Show Active/Show All |
Use the radio button to select and view the vendor details filtered by active status. You can choose either one of them. |
Vendor ID |
Enter the unique ID that identifies the vendor
ID to manage route details. Use the “ |
Vendor Name |
This field shows the vendor name of the selected vendor ID. |
Min. Distribution % |
Enter the minimum distribution value in percentage of the vendor. |
Max. Distribution % |
Enter the maximum distribution value in percentage of the vendor. |
Min. Value |
Enter the minimum value of the vendor in this route. |
Max. Value |
Enter the maximum value of the vendor in this route. |
Valid From |
Enter the date range of the validity of the vendor. Enter the starting date in the range here. |
Valid To |
Enter the date range of the validity of the vendor. Enter the ending date in the range here. |
Lane Locked? |
This field shows if the lane is locked in the route. |
Preference |
Enter the preference code associated with the vendor. Mandatory |
Exclude |
Use the checkbox to indicate if the vendor excluded for this route. |
Customer ID |
The ID of the customer for the selected route. |
Customer Name |
The system displays the name of the selected customer ID. |
Customer Contract ID |
The contract ID of the customer. |
In this section, you can manage to update the customer preference details of the route by providing customer details. Enter the following details in the multiline:

Maximum Train Length |
The maximum supported length of a train on the route. |
UOM |
Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters” activity. |
Loading Class / Gauge |
Use the drop-down list box to select the loading class or gauge for the route. |
Line Codification |
Use the drop-down list box to select the line codification of the route. |
Standard Line Category |
Use the drop-down list box to category of the standard line track for the route. |
Special Auth. Category |
Use the drop-down list box to category of the special authority for the route. |
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Leg Id. |
Use the drop-down list box to select the leg ID of the route. |
Pass No. |
The pass number which is used to map the vendor to the route leg. |
Locomotive Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of locomotive. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity. |
Pushing Locomotive 1 |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of first pushing locomotive. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity. |
Pushing Locomotive 2 |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of second pushing locomotive. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “Quick Codes” activity. |
Maximum Allowed Weight |
The maximum weight allowed in the locomotive. |
Weight UOM |
Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of weight. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters” activity. |
Valid From |
The date from which the pass is valid. |
Valid To |
The date till which the pass is valid. |
Default |
Select the checkbox to default the selected row. |
Vendor ID |
The vendor ID mapped to the pass. |
Vendor Name |
On selection of vendor ID, the system displays the name of the vendor. |
Schedule |
The unique number identifying the schedule. |
Transit Time |
The transit time for the schedule in the leg. |
Transit Time UOM |
Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of transit time. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters” activity. |
Max. Train Length |
The maximum length of the train. |
Length UOM |
Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of length. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in “UOM Masters” activity. |
Click “Save” button to save the entered details.
The system displays the corresponding route details in the right-hand side header and tabs. You can modify the required fields.
Click the “Save” button to update the route details.
The system displays the following in the “Data History” group box:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the route details. The date and time at which the route details was created. |
Modified By |
The login ID of the user who modified the route details. The date and time at which the route details was last modified. |
