Maintain Subzone, Zone, Region
A group of Postal codes form a subzone.
Select the “Maintain Subzone” or “Maintain Zone” or “Maintain Region” link in the “Geography” page under the “Logistics Administration” business component.
The “Maintain Subzone, Zone, and Region” page appears.

Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help
page of the respective field.
This page consists of the following tabs:

To create a new subzone
Click “+Subzone” button in the right hand side corner of the page to refresh and clear the existing data in the fields.
Enter the following header details in the right hand side of the page:
Subzone |
A unique code identifying the subzone (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of alphabets and numbers, and cannot be left blank. |
Subzone Description |
The description of the subzone. (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory. |
Reason Code |
The code identifying the reason for which the status has to be changed. (Alphanumeric, 40). This field is mandatory if the status is “Inactive”. |
Reason Description |
On enter of reason code, the system displays the description of the reason. |
Enter the following details in the multiline:
Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of subzone to be grouped. The combo is loaded with the values “Postal Code” and “Suburb”. |
Suburb/Postal Code |
The suburb or postal codes that needs to grouped to form a subzone. Suburb or Postal codes are fetched from the suburb or postal codes mapped against a city, state and country. (Alphanumeric, 40). |
On select of Postal Code, the system displays the following details.
Description |
The description of the postal code. (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Status |
The status of the postal code. |
To modify an existing subzone details
Select an option from the drop-down list box and enter the keyword for a specific search.
Click “Get” button to retrieve the subzone details in the multiline
The following details are displayed in the multiline:
Subzone |
The unique code that identifies the subzone. |
Description |
The description of the subzone. |
Click on any “Subzone” Data Hyperlink to display the respective subzone details in the right hand side of the page.
The system displays the corresponding subzone details in the right hand side header and tabs. You can modify the required fields.
Click “Save” button to update the subzone details.
Subzones, Cities and Postal codes combined together form a Zone
To create a new zone
Click “+Zone” button in the right hand side corner of the page to refresh and clear the existing data in the fields.
Enter the following header details in the right hand side of the page:
Zone |
A unique code identifying the zone (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of alphabets and numbers, and cannot be left blank. |
Zone Description |
The description of the zone. (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory. |
Reason Code |
The code identifying the reason for which the status has to be changed. (Alphanumeric, 40). This field is mandatory if the status is “Inactive”. |

The description of postal code or city or subzone. |
Status |
The status of postal code or city or subzone |

Combination of Cities, Postal codes, Subzones, Zones and States form a Region.
To create a new region
Click “+Region” button in the right hand side corner of the page to refresh and clear the existing data in the fields.
Enter the following header details in the right hand side of the page:
Region |
A unique code identifying the region (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of alphabets and numbers, and cannot be left blank. |
Region Description |
The description of the region. (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory. |

The system displays the following in the “Data History” group box:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the subzone, zone and region details. The date and time at which the subzone, zone and region details was created. |
Modified By |
The login ID of the user who modified the subzone, zone and region details. The date and time at which the subzone, zone and region details was last modified. |
