Component overview

Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

A group of Postal codes form a subzone.

The “Maintain Subzone, Zone, and  Region” page appears.

      - Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.

This page consists of the following tabs:

Tab – Subzone

To create a new subzone

Subzone

A unique code identifying the subzone (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of alphabets and numbers, and cannot be left blank.

Subzone Description

The description of the subzone. (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Reason Code

The code identifying the reason for which the status has to be changed. (Alphanumeric, 40). This field is mandatory if the status is “Inactive”.

Reason Description

On enter of reason code, the system displays the description of the reason.

Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of subzone to be grouped. The combo is loaded with the values “Postal Code” and “Suburb”.

Suburb/Postal Code

The suburb or postal codes that needs to grouped to form a subzone. Suburb or Postal codes are fetched from the suburb or postal codes mapped against a city, state and country.  (Alphanumeric, 40).

Description

The description of the postal code. (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory.

Status

The status of the postal code.

To modify an existing subzone details

The following details are displayed in the multiline:

Subzone

The unique code that identifies the subzone.

Description

The description of the subzone.

The system displays the corresponding subzone details in the right hand side header and tabs. You can modify the required fields.

Subzones, Cities and Postal codes combined together form a Zone

To create a new zone

Zone

A unique code identifying the zone (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of alphabets and numbers, and cannot be left blank.

Zone Description

The description of the zone. (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

Tab – Region

Combination of Cities, Postal codes, Subzones, Zones and States form a Region.

To create a new region

Region

A unique code identifying the region (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of alphabets and numbers, and cannot be left blank.

Region Description

The description of the region. (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

The code identifying the suburb code or postal code or city or subzone or state or zone. For example: Enter city code if the type is selected as “City” and so on. (Alphanumeric, 40).

The description of postal code or city or subzone or state or zone.

Status

The status of the postal code or city or subzone or state or zone

To modify an existing region details

The following details are displayed in the multiline:

Region

The unique code that identifies the region.

Description

The description of the region.

The system displays the corresponding region details in the right hand side header and tabs. You can modify the required fields.

The system displays the following in the “Data History” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the subzone, zone and region details. The date and time at which the subzone, zone and region details was created.

Modified By

The login ID of the user who modified the subzone, zone and region details. The date and time at which the subzone, zone and region details was last modified.
