Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

The “Quick Code” page appears.

  - Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.

To create a new quick code

Code Type                 

Use the drop-down list box to select the type for which the quick codes must be created. The combo is loaded with the pre-defined values like Location Type_Zone Type”, “Putaway Strategy”, “Picking Strategy”, “Dock Type”, “Material Handling, “Invoicing Doc Type”, “Order Type”, etc., Mandatory.

Code

The unique code identifying the quick code. (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory.

Description

The description of the quick code. (Alphanumeric, 100). Mandatory.

Default

Use the drop-down list box to set whether the description must be displayed by default at the launch of the page when this entity is used in other business components. You can select from “Yes” or “No”.

Note: For an entity, you can select “Yes” for only one quick code value.

Sequence No.

The sequence order in which the quick code values are to be listed.  (Integer, 10)

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the quick code. The combo is loaded with the values as “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on the launch of the page. Mandatory.

The system saves the quick code successfully.

The system displays the following in the multiline:

Type

Indicates the system defined or user-defined quick codes.

Note: You cannot modify (add or delete) the system defined quick codes.

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the quick code details.

Created Date

The date on which the quick code details was created.

Modified By

The login ID of the user who modified the quick code details.

Modified Date

The date on which the quick code details was last modified.

To modify an existing quick code details

Code Type                 

Use the drop-down list box to select the type for which the quick codes must be modified. Mandatory.

Note: You cannot modify (add or delete) the system defined quick codes.
